National and international matches are played at Holders Hill, St James, between November and May, Thursdays and Saturdays at 1400. If you’ve never been to a polo match before, this is a great introduction to the game. Polo has been played since cavalry officers introduced the game in the 19th century and the Polo Club was formed in 1884. Entrance to a match is US$7.50, children US$3. If you want to go upstairs on to the balcony of the club house it is US$2.50 for non-members. Tea and cakes costs US$2.50. Contact the Barbados Polo Club, T 4276022. .
