Christopher Street Day Parade (mid-to late June) The most flamboyant festival in Berlin. This gay and lesbian parade is always very loud and outrageous. Not for the faint-hearted. The parade starts on the Kurfürstendamm and ends at the Victory Angel in Tiergarten. For more information: http://www.csd-berlin.de Fête de la Musique (21 June) This free day of music takes place in various venues around Berlin (http://www.lafetedelamusique.de). The music performed ranges from rock to electric pop to reggae, ragga, polka, jazz, world music and folk. The atmosphere is up lifting and this street event should not, and logistically cannot, be missed.
