Aural, C Paseo de la Senda 2, T 945-147400. A fairly refined club as these things go, with a very trendy interior and chart hits alongside a fair whack of nostalgia. A more mature crowd than many. Cairo Stereo Club, C Aldabe 9. Excellent Vitorian club with some excellent and innovative DJs and a mixed crowd. During the week they often show cult movies or hold theme parties. Gallery, Plaza San Antón 4, T 945-250502. A young and lively set of punters make this a good place to come for bacalao and house. Pravda, C Guerrillero Fernández de Leceta 7. Grungy small underground venue with a young druggy crowd. Music tends towards the trance-y. Busiest night is Saturday. Swing, C Bastiturri 1, T 945-281372. A reasonable club that doesn’t veer much from a comfortable pop and techno line. Mixed crowd with a strong lesbian scene. Tapioca, C Sancho El Sabio 22, T 945-247471. A relaxed and fairly funky club with music from soul through to soft house. Open until 0500 at weekends. Interesting decoration includes exhibitions by young local artists.
