African Harvest North Sea Jazz Festival is held on the last weekend of the month. This is the second leg of the North Sea festival (held in the Hague) and is the citys biggest annual jazz event. Held in the Good Hope Centre, there are usually four stages featuring a weekends worth of local and international jazz artists, from local talent to international big names like Erika Badu. For more information, see http://www.nsjfcapetown.com Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour is also held on a Saturday in this month and is the worlds largest timed cycling event. The tour follows a gruelling circuit around Table Mountain to False Bay, then across the mountains to the Atlantic Seaboard and heads back into the centre of town. Much of the city is out of bounds to motorists for the day. It is similar to the London Marathon, in that there are over 9,000 competitors, many of which are running for charity, so expect the usual wacky costumes. Again, much of the city is closed to motorists. See http://www.twooceansmarathon.org.za
