It would take months to take in everything Cape Town and its surroundings have to offer, but a week is enough to get a taster. On an exposed peninsula between two oceans, Cape Towns weather is notoriously fickle. The winter months are cool and wet, but most weeks will have at least one day of bright sunshine. In summer temperatures can get well above 30°C, with perfect blue skies and cooling breezes, but this can change, with little warning, to fierce winds, horizontal rain and wild seas. Be prepared, therefore, to change your plans at the last minute.
