Denmark humour is black, satirical and ironic. Unfortunately, most of it cant be shared as its nearly always delivered in Danish and there isnt much of a comedy circuit to speak of. However, there are a couple of gems that may tickle your fancy. Comedy Zoo, Kompagnistræde 19, T 38881952, http://www.stand-up.dk/zoo.html Copenhagens premier comedy venue with nightly shows spanning improv, sketches and stand-up (often in English). Dinner and show combo tickets available. Friday and Saturday shows followed by Zoo Clubbing with DJs picking up the fun where the shows left off. Crazy Christmas Cabaret, London Toast Theatre, T 33228686, http://www.londontoast.dk Hugely successful English theatre company, founded by Vivienne McKee, who have pulled in packed houses with their wacky annual Christmas cabaret shows (November to December) for the last two decades. Expect panto-style audience participation, puns, gags and song. Staged at Tivolis Glassalen Theatre for the last five years. Venue subject to change, so check for details.
