Copenhagen can be reached by air, sea, coach, rail or car. Most visitors arrive by air, landing at Terminal 2 or 3 at Copenhagen International Airport and then taking the 12-minute train journey to Central Station (København H in Danish). A flight to Malmö in Sweden is also worth considering, and then using the fast bus or train routes over the bridge to Copenhagen. If you are outside of continental Europe, a flying is the best way. It wont save you time or money to go by road or rail.
Copenhagens city centre is remarkably small and compact, and the best way to explore the sights is by walking or cycling. An integrated network of buses, local trains (S-Tog), and a new metro makes it easy to travel from one end of the city to the other. The tourist office dispenses a free city map that details the main bus routes, train stations, hotels and sights. It may be wise to purchase a transport pass which will get you out to the furthest sights.
