Whitsun Carnival at Fælled Park, this time for a three-day, Latin-flavoured weekend bash with parades, floats and colourful costumes. St Hans Eve Festival (23rd) celebrates the longest day of the year. The mid-summer festival, takes place on the northern beaches and in Fælled Park. Large bonfires are lit and the spirit of hygee prevails as Copenhageners frolic with the help of lager. Roskilde Festival (over four days on the last weekend of the month) is the largest music festival in northern Europe and arguably the best on the continent.
