A Week In Dublin

Dotted Line

With a few more days at your disposal, you should venture outside the city to the spectacular passage tomb at Newgrange or to the coastal towns of Dun Laoghaire and Howth. Have lunch at The Queen’s in Dalkey to set you up for a walk around the cliffs at Bray.

In town, other worthwhile attractions include Prospect Cemetery, the Custom House, the Chester Beatty Library, Marsh’s Library, not to mention the alcohol-preserved artefacts at the Natural History Museum and the mummified bodies at St Michan’s Church. Take some time to wander the streets, admiring Dublin’s beautiful Georgian architecture, or get to grips with the city’s turbulent history on the 1916 Rebellion Tour. In the evening, try one of the comedy nights at the Ha’penny Bridge, the International, the Sugar Club or GUBU.
