Cycling in Dublin is not for the faint-hearted: traffic is heavy; there are no cycle lanes; every railing has signs prohibiting the parking of bikes; there are few dedicated cycle racks, and if you leave your bike unattended, any removable parts are likely to be stolen in your absence. If you’re still determined to explore Dublin by pedal power, bear in mind that there are no bike hire facilities in the city, so you’ll have to bring your own wheels.
