Probably past its sell-by date as a major dance venue, but hosts The Mambo Club upstairs on weekends, playing African/ reggae/Latin rhythms for a mixed crowd. The Citrus Club, Grindlay St, T 662 7086. Thu-Sun. Mostly caters for the city's indie kids, though Sunday is devoted to 60s ska and northern soul. Also attracting gigs from old 70s/80s punk/ska bands. The Subway West End, 23 Lothian Rd, T 229 9197. Daily till 0300. Real student haunt playing a wide mix including indie, 70s cheese and more mainstream dance.
