Folkcuba workshop in the first two weeks, Cubadanza (1-12 July 2003) and Cuballet de Verano (7 July-3 August 2003), are summer dance festivals, see January. Carnival is held at weekends between mid-July and mid-August, with parades along the Malecón, competitions, and lots of partying with drumming, singing and dancing.
