Havana burns year round but the cooler times are December to March, when the breeze is that bit stronger and the atmosphere is less humid. The cheapest times tend to be in hurricane season, the riskiest months being September to November, although you can still get lots of sunshine and hurricanes don’t come every year. The best times for the top festivals divide neatly into two: July- August for carnival and dance festivals, and December-January for film, jazz and dance festivals, New Year, and regattas.
