Walking Hong Kong

Travel Guides | Hong Kong | Getting Around | Walking Hong Kong

Dotted Line

Given the potential levels of heat and humidity, not to mention rain, it is not always practical to walk long distances within the city. However, with a pleasant climate, wandering the streets is the best way to see Hong Kong providing you can deal with crowds. Concentrating on one area, for example Central, SoHo and Sheung Wan is straightforward enough. Similarly, exploring Wan Chai to Causeway Bay makes for an interesting walk. Kowloon is a little more difficult, although starting at the south end of Tsim Sha Tsui and heading north up Nathan Road as far as Mongkok will take at least a couple of hours.
