A celebration of the first Punch and Judy show, in the churchyard of St Paul’s Church, Covent Garden. Beating the Retreat (three evenings late in the month). T 020-7414 2479. Annual tattoo on Horse Guards’ Parade celebrating the return of the troops back to barracks. Colourful and very British, it’s followed by a military band concert.
