A more grown-up (and expensive) sibling to Oliveto and serving a wider variety of Sardinian dishes. £ Jenny Los Teahouse, 14 Eccleston St, T 020-7823 6331. Mon-Fri 1130-1500, 1800-2200, Sat 1200-1500, 1800-1000. An excellent Chinese noodle bar (eat in or takeaway) run by the daughter of celebrity chef Ken Lo. Marginally more expensive than some elsewhere that have followed in its wake, the quality of the ingredients and fine vegetarian options keep it a cut above. £££ Bibendum, 81 Fulham Rd, T 020-7581 5817. Still happening after all these years, Conrans great big gastrodome above a stylish oyster and champagne bar, is on the first floor of the old Michelin building. £££ The Collection, 264 Brompton Rd, T 020-7225 1212. Daily 1900-2300. A DJ-driven music bar and restaurant approached by a corridor catwalk, the sort of place Posh might have met Becks, choosing confidently from the global menu. £££ Zafferano, 15 Lowndes St, T 020-7235 5800. Mon-Sat 1200- 1500, 1900-2300, Sun 1900-2200. Of all the smart Italian restaurants in the area, this is easily the best value (at lunchtimes it only just scrapes into this bracket), not at all intimidating and worth every penny. Its often fully booked though. ££ La Brasserie, 272 Brompton Rd, T 020-7581 3089. Mon-Sat 0800-2300, Sun 0900-2300. One of the most delightful restaurants in this bracket is a proper Parisian all-day nosherie, best for an evening rendezvous at the bar or a sit down with your shopping for a late brunch or high tea. ££ Monza, 6 Yeomans Row, T 020-7591 0210. Mon-Sat 1900- 2300. A small restaurant with character and a casual, home-baked Italian atmosphere beliing the top quality. ££ O Fado, 45-50 Beauchamp Pl, T 020-7589 3002. Daily 1230- 1500, 1630-0100. This is an old Portuguese restaurant with bags of character, never afraid to let the joint start jumping to live music and usually open until late (around 0100).
