There are four main companies operating frequent rail services between London and other towns and cities in England, Scotland and Wales: GNER arrives at Kings Cross from the east coast, the East Midlands, Yorkshire, Northeast England and Scotland; Virgin Trains operates a cross-country and a west coast service from the Midlands, the northwest and Scotland to Euston. Scotrail operates the Caledonian Sleeper service if you wish to travel to the capital overnight from Scotland. Trains from Wales and the west of England are run by First Great Western to Paddington Station in London.
