The Festival del Verano (17-25 July) is the Summer Festival held in Avila with street parties, parades, bullfights and live music. A similar festival is held over several weeks in Segovia during July and August.

Veranos de la Villa (from July to September). Summers in the City is the largest city-sponsored arts festival in Madrid, with a range of activities spanning theatre, dance and music.
