Le Churchill, Hotel de la Mamounia, Bab Jedid, T 044-444409. 1700-0100 except Mon. Jazz some evenings. Black and white photos of long-vanished jazz heroes on the walls, cigars and leather armchairs atmosphere. Clientèle mainly hotel residents. Riad Tamsna, 23 Derb Zanka Daika, Riad Zitoun el Jedid, T 044- 385272. Drinks with tapas on the roof-terrace. A must for apéritifs. Also functions as a restaurant (light Lebano- Moroccan cuisine). All in the best possible taste, decorated in sandy greys, bordeaux and deep, woody browns. Boutique has everything for bathroom and bedroom. Grand-Hotel Tazi, intersection Rue Bab Agnaou (Le Prince) and Av el Mouahidine. The hotel has little to recommend it. The bar, however, is one of the few places in the médina for a cheap drink (beers at 25dh). Fairly popular with locals, also tourists from the cheap hotels in the area unwilling to trek up to Guéliz.
