Though there is no centralized bus station, most long-distance buses arrive and leave from various locations around piazza Garibaldi. CTP (T 081-7001111) and STP (T 081-5522176) are two of the biggest companies. There is an information desk in the middle of the piazza.. Piazza Garibaldi is anarchic, traffic-clogged and not a very pleasant place but it’s hard to avoid. It’s worth trying to work out the next stage of your journey before you get there. The 3S airport bus arrives at the western end of the piazza, near the statue of Garibaldi himself, handy for the R2 bus (see below). It departs from the other end, to the left of the Stazione Centrale, just outside McDonald’s.
