Dotted Line

If you travel into New York by train you’ll arrive at either Grand Central Terminal (42nd St and Park Av), or Pennsylvania Station (32nd St between 7th Av and 8th Av). Both are in the centre of town, connected to the subway and are within easy walking distance of many attractions and hotels.

Amtrak (T1-800 USA RAIL, 1-212 582 6875, http://www.amtrak.com) runs services between Penn Station and New Jersey, Philadelphia, Boston and Washington DC; the NJ Transit and the Long Island Rail Road operate from here, too. From Grand Central, the Metro North line heads to the New York suburbs, Hudson Valley and Connecticut.
