M Kléber. A new-style brasserie, with a sleek red, black and beige interior. The menu is similarly contemporary, with notes from around the world, such as veal cutlet with dried fruit and the obligatory lamb tagine and roast chicken with tarragon. M Gare du Nord. Before catching your train, you could do worse than plug your hunger here. Since 1870 the restaurant has served Alsatian specialities beneath immense frescoes and brash posters. Early birds can pause for coffee and croissants at the suave bar.
