Every Parisian season has something special. There is often a period of sizzling sunshine in summer and sometimes it snows in winter. Spring and autumn are usually mild, but expect some rain. Traditionally, Parisians flee the city in August, closing many local shops and restaurants, although many younger Parisians now choose to stay in Paris when it is warmer and quieter. Take time out to sit on café terraces and watch the city unfold before you. This is as much a part of the Paris experience as admiring the Mona Lisa or puffing your way to the top of the Eiffel Tower. And its essential to retain some energy for the Parisian nightlife. Whether this means dining out rather than clubbing until dawn matters little: in Paris most restaurants dont start buzzing until around 2130.
