KK Très Locos, Bergstaðastræti 4. Daily from 1100. Mexican bar-restaurant with cheery staff and the feeling of a beachside shack, if that’s possible in this cold and wind-swept city. KK Vegamót, Vegamótastígur 4, T 551 3040, F 551 3045, http://www.vegamot.is Mon-Thu 1100-0100, Fri-Sat 1100-0500, Sun 1200-0100. K Ari í Ögri, Ingólfsstræti 3, T 551 9660. Sun-Thu 1100-0100, Fri-Sat 1130-0300. Just off Laugavegur, this small pub serves snacks as well as hearty all-day breakfasts. Sandwiches start at about ISK 500 and fish at ISK 1500. It’s neither classy nor trendy like the majority of the city's bars and restaurants, but the food is good value.
