Semana Santa (Easter week is 4-11 April 2004, 20-27 March 2005, 9-16 April 2006 and 1-8 April 2007) The most famous of Spain’s Easter weeks is in Seville. Members of the city’s 52 cofradías parade pasos of Christ and the Virgin through the city streets. The floats are accompanied by hooded nazarenos and cross- carrying penitentes. See box on the next page. Córdoba’s processions are also worthwhile.
