Seville has some excellent street markets. A famous flea market takes place on Sunday mornings in the Alameda de Hércules; there is a smaller one on Thursday too. The big Thursday event, el jueves, takes place on nearby Calle Feria, when the whole street is filled with stalls of every description. Plaza Alfalfa has a curious Sunday morning animal market. El Postigo, C Arfe s/n, T 954 560 013. This large, indoor craft market is an excellent place to buy ceramics or other handcrafts. There are regular exhibitions and a good range of shops. Mercado de Abastos, C Castilla s/n. A good undercover food market in Triana that is busiest in the mornings.
