Seville’s three principal theatres all put on a range of drama, music, and dance. The Maestranza is the most mainstream; at both the other venues there’s more avant-garde programming and significantly cheaper tickets. Teatro Central, C José de Gálvez s/n, T 954 460 780 On the Isla de la Cartuja, this serves up a good range of mostly contemporary drama and music. This lovely building built for the 1929 exhibition has some excellent theatre and music at bargain prices; tickets for some events are as cheap as E 4. This acclaimed modern building is Seville’s principal venue for opera, drama, and dance. It’s a fairly dressy scene.
