The above will keep you blissfully occupied for at least three days and given more time you can stretch it out with copious amounts of sunbathing, shopping or further sightseeing. Within the confines of the city other attractions and activities to consider are harbour cruises; a fine option being the trip to Olympic Park or a luncheon trip aboard the replica of The Bounty . Then you may consider other city centre sights like the Art Gallery of New South Wales or the noteworthy Brett Whitley Museum and Gallery . Take to a canoe to experience a more intimate exploration of the harbour , or get close up and personal with a koala or a frogmouth at the Featherdale Wildlife Park . Further afield at least a day in the Blue Mountains is highly recommended , while other options for walks, camping and swimming include Ku-ring-gai Chase , Botany Bay or the Royal National Parks , all less than an hour from the city.
