Berkelouw’s Books, 19 Oxford St, Paddington, T 9360 3200. Open until late. A great range of secondhand books with the added attraction of a café. Goulds Book Arcade, 32 Kings St, Newtown. This lost world is the largest and most bizarre secondhand bookshop in the city. If Sophia Lauren ran out the door followed by a posse of neolithic men you’d hardly bat an eyelid.
