Off Oxford St. A more intimate Irish pub offering low-key jam sessions on Sunday afternoons. Mercantile Hotel, 25 George St, The Rocks. Some of the best folk in town. Whether it is an evening listening to the Australian Chamber Orchestra, T 9357 4111, or the Brandenburg Orchestra, T 9363 2899, in one of the great venues mighty auditoria (including the Opera House, the Town Hall, and the St Andrews Cathedral, or in a variety of less high-profile locations around the city, from cathedrals to city parks, there is always something on.
