Elderly ladies sell machine-made and hand-knitted goods on the so-called Wall of Sweaters along Müürivahe, 0900-1700. The walkway next to the Great Guild that connects Pikk and Lai streets is lined with stalls selling applied art of varying quality; note that most prices here are in euros, not kroons.

Several outlets where you can be sure of finding genuine Estonian handicrafts, including knitwear, textiles, carved wooden items and dolls. Galerii Kaks, Lühike jalg 1, T/F 641 8308. Mon-Sat 1000-1800, Sun 1000-1700. Especially good for glassware and jewellery, with pieces by artists whose work is on show in the Applied Art Museum.
