If you’re only in Turin for 24 hours you’ll need to be focused about what’s important. If it’s art, then go for overload at the Museo Egizio, Galleria Sabauda and Galleria d’Arte Moderna. If it’s architecture, have a stroll round the baroque splendour of piazza Castello and head south for Renzo Piano’s Lingotto and the Palazzo a Vela. For shopping, don’t stray from via Roma. Or to soak up the rhythms of Italy, head for one of Turin’s famous cafés, like the Bicerin or Caffe San Carlo and then seek out the aperitif haunts of the Murazzi and quadrilatero in the evening.
