Turin can be reached very easily and economically from the UK, with regular flights departing daily from Stansted direct to the city’s Caselle airport. Turin is also set to be linked by the Eurostar service arriving from Geneva and going on to Milan. Within the city, Turin’s network of efficient trams and buses provides dependable and cheap access to all corners of the city. A single-line underground is under construction but is not due to be finished until 2006. Most of the central sites are close to each other and linked by arcaded boulevards so pedestrians will find Turin a pleasant place to navigate on foot, although public transport is recommended for sites down the seemingly endless boulevards to the south.
