As the name implies, a corner of Greece in Turin, but dont think dodgy kebabs and retsina, the food here does justice to a cuisine that was one of the great contributors to what we now know as Italian food. A marriage of Tuscan and Piemontese dishes for the discerning gastronome, all served strictly according to seasonal and local availability of the ingredients. Despite its name, this restaurant serves up interesting and tasty eastern-fusion takes on typical Italian dishes, although octopus in tempura recalls Japan more readily than Italy. A great place to try the Piemontese speciality, vitello tonnato (veal in a tomato-based sauce). E Antica Bruschetteria Pautasso, piazza E. Filliberto 4, T 011 4366706. A good place to enjoy the honest local favourites such as bagna cauda in a simple but characterful setting.
