There is no dedicated contemporary dance space in Valencia, but the city does have a thriving modern dance scene. The annual Danza València festival, held in late April-early May, is a great opportunity to see contemporary dance groups perform across the whole Comunitat Valenciana. Local dance groups to look out for include La Sonrisa de Cain, IT Dansa, and the Jove Companya de Dansa de l'Institut de Dansa. Valencia's main theatres usually have an eclectic programme and dance regularly features. Museu del Segle XIX/Museo del Siglo XIX, C/Museu/Museo 2, T 963 963 088. Bus 5. Metro Pont de Fusta. This museum and temporary exhibition space occasionally hosts some cutting-edge contemporary dance performances.
