The train from London to Valencia takes at least 36 hours and requires a change in Paris and Montpellier or Barcelona. If you buy a one-way ticket, hold on to it as it will entitle you to a reduction on your return fare. There are regular long-distance services to Madrid, Barcelona and Alacant/Alicante, plus less frequent services to Sevilla, Bilbao, Granada, and Málaga. These usually require prior reservation in advance, and are often fully booked at weekends. Book well in advance to get the best prices and ensure a seat.
