E-F Burnaby Caribou RV Park, 8765 Caribou Pl, T 4201722. About 16 km from Downtown. Bus No 101, and close to the useful 99 route. Probably the most salubrious camp- ground, and closer than most. Lots of facilities including heated indoor pool, hot tub, exercise room and games room.

E -F Peace Arch RV Park, 14601 40th Av, T 5947009, http://www.peacearchrvpark.com About 28 km southeast of Vancouver. Large campground with hook-ups, tent sites, outdoor swimming pool and games room. Suitable if you want to stop on your way to or from the US border.

E-F Capilano RV Park, 295 Tomahawk Av, T 9874722 Near Lion's Gate Bridge on North Shore. An unattractive campground, more like a parking lot, but easily the best located. Facilities include full hook-ups, pool, jacuzzi, playground and games room.

F Alice Lake Provincial Park, T 8983678. 13 km north of Squamish. 108 treed, private sites, none very close to the beach, 12 are walk-in only. Pretty lake with fishing and swimming, hot showers and a big grassy area.

F Klahanie Campground, T 8923435. 5 mins south of town, opposite Shannon Falls. Fairly private sites with plenty of trees, full hook-ups, showers and a restaurant.

E Riverside RV Resort, 8018 Mons Rd, T 9055533. About 1.5 km from the village off Blackcomb Way. Situated on 16 ha by a creek, this is about the only real choice for campers and open year round. Treed, fairly private sights for tents, full service for RVs, and attractive, fully equipped log cabins with kitchen, VCR and small patios (AL). Facilities include hot showers, BBQ, laundry, games room with pool table, café, a handy grocery store, volleyball court and putting course. They rent bikes, skis and other gear, arrange tours, and provide free shuttles to the gondolas.

F McDonald Provincial Park, McDonald Park Rd, T 3912300 Off Highway 17 near Swartz Bay. Forty-nine attractive treed sites, but only convenient for those catching a late ferry in or early ferry out.

F Thetis Lake, 1938 W Park Lane, T 4783845. 10 km from Victoria. The closest campground to town, with a pleasant lake- side location with a beach and good swimming. Hot showers and laundry.

F Greenpoint Campground 19 km south. The only campsite on Long Beach and easily the best one around. Small, but private and densely treed sites, some overlooking the beach. Operates on a first-come first-served system, and is heavily in demand, so arrive early. Dry toilets and no showers.
