F Greenpoint Campground 19 km south. The only campsite on Long Beach and easily the best one around. Small, but private and densely treed sites, some overlooking the beach. Operates on a first-come first-served system, and is heavily in demand, so arrive early. Dry toilets and no showers. F Montague Harbour Provincial Park, T 3912300. Halfway up the island is this wonderful oceanfront campground. The 15 walk-in sites have particularly good views. There are trails and beaches galore, but only dry toilets and no showers. Reservations are crucial in summer. F Ruckle Provincial Park, Beaver Point Rd, T 3912300 9 km east of Fulford Harbour at the end of Beaver Point Road. The eight spots for RVs are nothing special, but those with a tent can walk in and claim one of the 70 sites dotted along the shore, with exquisite views of Swanson Channel. One of the most magical camping experiences in Western Canada, but no facilities.
