Specializes in contemporary music, from jazz or electronic to world. The Yale Hotel, 1300 Granville, T 6819253. Divey bar thats the citys premier blues venue. Chan Centre for the Performing Arts, 6265 Crescent Rd, T 8222697. Mostly dedicated to classical performances, this UBC venue has three stages in one complex, the main hall being one of the citys finest. Orpheum Theatre, 884 Granville St, T 6653050. Home to the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the Orpheum hosts most major classical events. Built as part of the vaudeville circuit in 1927, it has an elegant Spanish Baroque-style interior with arches, tiered columns and marble mouldings. Queen Elizabeth Theatre, Hamilton/Georgia, T 2999000. Often plays host to opera and ballet.
