There is plenty of quality scuba diving close to Vancouver. Whytecliffe Park at the western tip of the North Shore, Cates Park in Deep Cove, and Porteau Cove on Highway 99 are all renowned underwater reserves, and the waters around Vancouver Island have been named the second best place to dive in the world by the Jacques Cousteau Society.
